Il provient de la contradiction que l'on peut relever entre les méthodes traditionnelles de sélection et de reconnaissance officielles, dont l'analyse de contrôle fait partie depuis l'origine, et la nouveauté de l'expérience à laquelle elles s'appliquent. L'énoncé de Jacques Lacan, "L'analyste ne s'autorise que de lui-même", c'est à dire de la loi d'où naît le désir, remet en question les conceptions fondées sur les garanties par l'institution. Est-ce à dire qu'il n'y a de place pour aucun tiers ? Cet ouvrage, écrit à plusieurs, tente de répondre à cette question fondamentale. Retraçant l'histoire de l'analyse de contrôle, et du même coup de l'analyse didactique, il définit l'orientation nouvelle que celles-ci ont prise depuis Lacan. Loin d'éliminer la part du tiers dans la formation de l'analyste, sa théorisation impose au contraire la nécessité d'une fonction tierce, non pas dans le sens d'une quelconque garantie, mais parce qu'il n'y a de savoir que de ce qui se transmet.

Recent innovations in medical and surgical treatment of coronary heart dis ease have increased the importance of accur…ate diagnostic methods for determining the severity of coronary disease, identifying potential treatment alternatives, and evaluating the results of treatment. Great advances have also been made in basic research on coronary circula tion and its interaction with myocardial contraction and relaxation and neural and humoral control. With respect to these developments, the papers included in the present monograph deal with important topics concerned with the basic mechanism of coronary circulation as well as ones of clinical relevance. It is directed toward physicians (cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cardiac radiologists, anestheologists, and others) and basic scientists (e.g., physiologists, bioengineers). We would like to em phasize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in which basic scientists and clinicians work closely together. This volume consists of nine chapters. Chapter 1 contains macro scopic and microscopic descriptions of coronary vascular anatomy, which is closely related to the functions of coronary circulation. In Chap. 2 two methods in current use to evaluate phasic coronary blood velocity waveforms are presented, i.e., the laser Doppler and ultrasound Doppler methods.
