This is Samuel Croxall text, unattributed, with a lengthy "Application" at the end of each of the 110 fables here. For example, "The Hunted Beaver" draws comparisons to the Inquisition, and persecution of the Jews - with advice I do not comprehend. Illustrated by watercolorist Henry Walker Herrick.
