Seller: David Hallinan, Bookseller, Columbus, MS, U.S.A.
128 pages. Staple-bound paperback booklet: H 19.5cm x L 13.25cm. Toned greenish-gray paper covers with chips and tears; front cover detached with past owner's pencil signature at top margin; significant surface paper loss along spine with underlying quires exposed; rear cover attached by top 4cm with long tear descending to joint heel. A few leaves with wear at corner margins with a few spots of minor soiling and foxing but overall still clean. Staples rusted but text block binding is firm. Only a good copy but a scarce Mississippi temperance publication featuring twenty-nine chapters (primarily essays regarding the religious, legal, moral, etc. facets of the movement) by a myriad of contributors including Richmond Pearson Hobson, Charles Betts Galloway, James Bruton Gambrell, Henry Grady, Charlton Henry Alexander, Robert G. Ingersoll, George W. Eichelberger, et al. Preface on page 3 and Index on page 128 but with the latter actually being a table of contents. No publication date specified but Alexander and Eichelberger essays cite 1912 so presumably issued between 1912-1915. Contrasting to this 128 page edition, OCLC cites two different DESTROYING THE DESTROYER WITH TWO WEAPONS undated editions - a 94 page booklet (held by five institutions) and a 110 page booklet held by the University of Mississippi. {MS-Shelf#1}.
