These letters provided a point of view from the side of the aristocrats as they watched the gruesome events unfolding around them.The Comtesse de Sabran (1749-1827), also known as Francoise Eleonore Dejean de Manville, was a French socialite and letter writer who eventually married the Chevalier de Boufflers. These letters show the gradual maturing of their relationship.Collated, complete. In quarter morocco binding, with marbled boards. Externally, smart, with some light rubbing to the spine.
