Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This scholarly book details the major turning points in the Portuguese fight for democracy. The author goes into historical and political depth on this topic, providing insight into the major milestones of the Republican movement in Portugal. From the French Revolution through the 20th century, the text examines the role of individuals, parties, and events as the country transitioned from a constitutional monarchy to a true republic. Thematic elements such as social class, representation, and nationalism are discussed at length, in order to provide a nuanced and comprehensive view of the evolution of Portuguese democracy. Ultimately, the book offers readers a better understanding of a nation's long and winding struggle to establish and maintain a true republic. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

Soft Cover. Condition: Good. Estudos criticos e historicos sobre a mariolatria. Livraria Chardron. Porto. 1905. De 20x13 cm. Com lxiv, 380, [i] págs. Brochado.
