Jahrhunderts und verfolgt, mit welchen Intentionen und mit welch weitem Radius der Rundumschau dieser Sammler "ein kaleidoskopisches Ensemble von Denkrichtungen, ein Archipel von sinnlich-leuchtenden und asketischen Inseln, von sensibel fluktuierenden Geweben, von Überzeugungen und Hinterfragungen, von ironischen Behauptungen und zarten Erinnerungsbildern" (Jean-Christophe Ammann) errichtet hat.
