The edges and corners are unworn. The page edges are very clean. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover, with nicely tight pages throughout, no binding issues. The pages are in excellent condition as well. The only imperfection is about as minor as you can get: the very tip of the top corner of the first three pages has a tiny light crease. The pages are exceptionally clean. There isn't any other creasing to be found. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. You couldn't ask for more condition-wise from a book published in 1940. Finally, there are a good number of illustrations. They and the pages they occupy are all in excellent condition.
