Pas de couverture. Condition: Très bon. 1 tirage argentique d'époque sur carton fort, de format 13 x 18 cm, avec un encadrement mesurant 23 x 28 cm. Cet encadrement porte le nom de l'hôpital (Cochin), le nom du photographe (Pirou), le nom des internes. Cette photographie de belle qualité fut réalisée par Eugène Pirou (1841-1909), photographe portraitiste renommé (et également cinématographe). Elle est extrait de l'Album de l'Internat (année 1904-1905). Les Albums de l'internat, regroupant les photographies des internes des différents hôpitaux parisiens, ont commencés à être édités en 1902, avec le sponsor de la Compagnie des Eaux Minérales de Pougues ; les tirages argentiques, comme ici, ne furent réalisés que les premières années ; ils ont rapidement fait place à des phototypies, moins onéreuses. Parmi ces internes, on note Maurice CHEVASSU (1877-1957), situé au premier rang, à l'extrémité gauche. Chevassu fut l'auteur d'une thèse novatrice et remarquable sur les tumeurs du testicule (1906). Il laissa son nom au séminome (tumeur de Chevassu), au protocole opératoire (opération de Chevassu) et au signe clinique permettant de préciser la nature d'une tumeur des bourses (signe de Chevassu). Il poursuivit sa carrière en urologie et devint professeur de clinique des maladies des voies urinaires à l'hôpital Cochin (Paris). Chevassu démontra l'intérêt alors fondamental du dosage de l'urée et fut le promoteur de l'urétéro-pyélographie rétrograde. Il fut aussi historien de la médecine. Il devint membre de l'Académie de médecine et de l'Académie de chirurgie (Cf.
