Während Blum hingerichtet und Fröbel verhaftet wurde, gelang Hartmann in letzter Sekunde die Flucht aus Wien. - Mit diffundierenden Klebespuren, das Trägerpapier mit Sammlervermerk in Blei.

Er bittet ihn um den Abdruck folgender Erklärung: "Mein kleines dramatisches Sprichwort Gleich u. Gleich` [1861] ist ohne mein Wissen u. gegen meinen Willen in Dresden zur Auffü…hrung gekommen. Wohl wissend, dass das Stückchen nicht entsprechend besetzt u. einstudiert leicht zur Carricatur wird oder den Charakter verliert, den es haben sollte u. sich einer falschen Beurtheilung aussetzt, u. dabei weder für meinen Namen noch anderweitig irgend einen Werth auf dessen Aufführung legend, habe ich es weder einem Theateragenten übergeben, noch es selbst allgemein verschickt, sondern es nur jenen Bühnen anvertraut, deren Kräfte mir bekannt waren, oder auf deren mir bekannte Direktoren, wie Eduard Dévrient, Laube, Putlitz man sich in allen Fällen verlassen kann. [?]" Sein Zweiakter wurde 1863 in Karlsruhe und 1864 in Wien aufgeführt. Weiter schreibt er: "Die Dresdner Hofbühne hat mir einen Mißerfolg zu Stande gebracht, vor dem ich mich selber bewahrt haben würde. [?]" - Der Böhme Moritz Hartmann, wegen seiner vormärzlichen liberalen Gedichte und seines Engagements im Revolutionsjahr verfolgt, war durch sein Schicksal als Revolutionär und Flüchtling schnell zu Ruhm gekommen; er geriet aber bald in Vergessenheit. ".
