Beyond p. 130 it contains - for the first time - `1911 Expedition to Maligne Lake'. Original was published in 1911 by Putnam and never reprinted. Described here are two early (1907 and 1908) exploratory journeys made by packhorse from the Banff area into the Sun Wapta Valey area. Schaffer was a skilled photographer and many of the images have been hand-coloured to delightful effect.
