A highly unusual 2001 diary with a futurological, artistic, innovative, yet baffling design of such novelty that it resembles an artefact originated on an alien planet. "In this diary the particular days are coded by a unique symbol". Designed by Hans Bockting and Sabine Reinhardt at UNA Amsterdam, Holland. Text in English and Dutch. From the preface: "The initiators of this desk diary are UNA (Amsterdam) designers, Veenman Printers, Hexspoor Binders and Callenbach Binders. The diary was published in a limited run of 2,000 copies and intended as a gift for business relations of all those involved in the project.The idea and design were developed by UNA (Amsterdam) designers. The text is set in the typeface Corporate S, designed in 1990 by Kurt Weidemann. The paper for the book block is wood-free cream offset, 120 and 60 gsm, supplied by Grafisch Papier, Andelst. The paper is offset printed on two sides in five colours by Veenman Printers, Ede. Hexspoor Binders, Boxtel, converted the Japanese folded sheets into book blocks using Otabind. Callenbach Binders, Nijkerk, cased the book blocks and handled the book stamping. 1mm Brontroboard is used for the cover. The elite binding cloth is supplied by Van Heek Scholco, Losser."
