This copy is not pretty but it does seem to be complete with the 24-page catalogue of other books from the publisher, J. & A. Churchill, in back of the book. The book's spine is cracked. It has a library bookplate on the front pastedown, a small sticker from a book distributor and some marks in pencil on the reverse of the first free end page, two library stamps on the title page and another on the book's back page. The book's pages are toned but clean without marks, creases, stains or wrinkles. The book's outer covers are lightly soiled but heavily marred by insects. The top 1" of the cloth on the spine is missing. There is a 3/4" tear in the seam between front cover and spine and significant wear to edges of covers and spine, corner tips.
