This is the 1970 First Edition of "Behind the Walls of Terra" by Philip José Farmer, being Ace Paperback Book 71135 (PBO). The book is considered to be the 4th title in "The World of Tiers" series. For once back on the streets of an American city, armed with the knowledge of the forces that moved the heavens, he was a target for the cosmic venom of the powers that contended for this very universe. BEHIND THE WALLS OF TERRA lay a secret no human could learn - and live. But Kickaha had learned it - and he was not going to take it lying down! Hardcover. Condition: Poor. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Illustrated by Frontispiece and Three Full-Page Illustrations by Isabel W.Caley (illustrator). First Edition. Green cloth covers with black stamped lettering and color illustration on front board. The book is in over poor to fair condition: the covers are a bit soiled and worn, the page edges soiled, page 129 has been torn and taped, with a strip on now yellowed tape going all the way diagonally from corner to corner, the text block is beginning to loosen and hinges beginning to crack, but all pages are still bound, and there is browning and some foxing to the contents. Despite these flaws, it is still a good, complete reading copy. Violet Gray was a Quaker author and her character, Margery Morris, is a young girl who lived in a Quaker town in New Jersey. This is the fourth (and last? ) of the Margery Morris series. A decent, complete reading copy of a hard-to-find original. ; 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
