The Bible was a mine of dramatic subjects to Rembrandt. Altogether he made over 500 drawings and etchings with biblical subjects. The great majority of these are unknown to the public. This book contains 48 reproductions and introduces you to Rembrandt's particular heroes and favourite stories to which again and again the Dutch master returned.
