A keen bohemian, Bogg wrote many books on his walks in the Yorkshire Dales and often took his artist friends into the Yorkshire Dales to paint and write. This title wa…s likely produced in tandem with such a trip, as much of the artwork within was produced by club members. Generously illustrated with monochrome etchings, photogravures, and engravings, with a long list of subscribers at the rear, some of which received the de luxe edition, pp. [viii], 350. Quarter bound in brown leather over brown cloth with black label and gilt lettering to the spine. Quarto 27 x 21.5 cm In very good condition. Rebound with new endpapers, spine sunned, page edges somewhat tanned with a few discreet tape repairs to some small closed tears to the margins of two pages towards the fore, rear pages lightly foxed. Generally very clean and firmly bound. Illustrated by Edmund Bogg, Gilbert Foster, Percy Robinson, Albert Haselgrave, Owen Bowen, and others (illustrator).
