An anthology of the sporting writer Nash Buckingham (1880-1971), selected, edited, and annotated by his friend George Bird Evans, gathering thirty of Buckingham's best stories and articles on wildfowl, bobwhite quail, guns and shooting, and bird dogs from a shooting career of some eighty years. Illustrated with archival photographs of Buckingham, his companions, and his dogs, and closing with a full bibliography of his books. A Tennessean who helped found the modern conservation movement, Buckingham is among the most collected of American sporting authors.
