Published on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition at the Museum der bildenden Kunste Leipzig and at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; the publication was also available…in German and Dutch editions ('Ich ist Stil' and 'Ik is stijl' respectively). Discusses Schwitters' 'place in modernism, his views on the role of the artist, his ties with America and his inimitable combination of word and image'. A representative selection from Schwitters' own writings is included, along with stories and essays by his contemporaries. Slight bumping at the tail edge and at the spine head, echoed by the jacket, which is slightly rubbed in general, the spine panel moderately faded (not affecting legibility), the lower panel with an unobtrusive price sticker. Very Good overall.
