Hardcover. Condition: Good. Hardcover book with dark brown coated cloth over boards. Lettering stamped in gold on cover and spine; design stamped in black on cover and spine. Brown endpapers. Title page dated 1884. Copyright page dated 1883. 316 pages. Book is in good condition, especially considering age. Cover has some mild wear, including some subtle dark markings, some rubbing, and some shelf wear. Shelf wear more pronounced around corners and spine area. Top and bottom of spine have some small tears to the cloth. Front attached endpaper is worn where the page meets the binding, and some of the linen below is visible. There is some spotting throughout text block, but pages are overwhelmingly clean and unmarked. No tears, no highlighting. Binding is tight. Overall, a nice copy -- especially considering age.
