Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. I'm not sure why a little bug should deign to say anything else at all. He is after all about 26,000 light years from the center of the galaxy and the supermassive black hole lurking there. But maybe when you think of it, that particular black hole (Sagittarius A*) could use a little amateur poetry to lighten its load. And little bugs, eminently squashable though they are, are also nothing short of a minor miracle. They dance, they sing, they dream, they love. There is a glint in their eyes that is precious, if brief, or maybe it is not brief at all. Time, has more twists and turns and knots than even a praying mantis can poke a stick at. I wouldn't at all be surprised to find it is just a finger tracing the curve of a girl's neck, while the girl in question juggles innumerable possible worlds in her innumerable probable hands. Clearly I am no one to judge. Clearly these verses are so slight as to have been better left in scribbled state and recycled directly. But my self-indulgence knows no bounds, and just in case Sagittarius A* might have a more subtle use for these maladroit malapropisms, I will -fool that I am- go ahead and share them. Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. I have been trying to write the last thing I will ever write for a long time now. And I don't mean that in any morbid, premonitory sense. Rather it's all about wading Heraclitus-like (toga torn and dirty) into the river of time and trying to scoop out a transient cup of something that might be quaffable. I mean, in addition to the broccoli and the chick peas, isn't meaning what we ultimately thrive on? But by the time it gets to my lips, it's just another barely sayable morass, that dribbles lifelessly down my chin. Or maybe not. Time isn't the only test of time. There are vast structures of memories overlaid onto the surfaces of black holes, which seemingly give a lie to the idea of transience. But if it is true that "plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose" then it must also be true that "plus ca ne change pas, plus c'est quelque chose de different." What I mean by that is that when a memory is recalled from storage, there is a moment when it becomes temporarily malleable again. What a precious moment this is. We are liberated from what is fixed in the past, and everything can be somewhat rewritten or at least annotated. Just so, I would wish that whoever might read some of these poems would feel free to -well- fix them, rewrite them, or forget them completely in some liberatingly unretrievable, vast elsewhere. Huzzah! This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This might well be the slightest of my slight collections, in so far as I haven't the slightest understanding of how or why I wrote it. It might well have been ghost-written as these days I often feel more of the ghost in me than that eating farting perambulating self. As such I don't know what to believe. In fact the thing about belief is that, when you lose it, it's not that you become unbelieving, so much as it is that it is quite relieving. You return to your little self, and look at all the lovely scaffolding in another way entirely. Neither spiritual, nor materialistically inclined, you decline the crozier and the staff, and bow your head, full of the lack of certainty that you have attained, to one sweet sometimes irritating day at a time. How beautiful are the many mysteries that our mind foreplays into exited dances before us. Yes, it's all quite dirty, yes, it's full of angel turds, and sauteed tofu as well that devils offer in penance for their mistakes. Nor is there really any spiritual hierarchy to all this transcendent chaos. Peace is there, certainly, but so is uncertainty and a deep unease with anything that does not accept everything. We are in the catacombs for sure, but that's ok, because we are cats and love to have a good comb sooth us back into purr-fect serenity. We are also the wildflowers that riot unabashedly in fields where life and death keep exchanging places. It's all one great unabashed coupling. Clothe ourselves as we will, we remain naked to the core. We shout from the top of our lungs to the bottom of our loins that there is no greater blooms than those that come from rotting. We are the soil and the tiller and the farmer and his daughter and the mewling too of something that is just now being born. This item is printed on demand.
