Gallmeyer (1838-1884) stammte eigentlich aus Leizig. Sie war eine der bedeutendsten Wiener Soubretten der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts, genannt die "Fesche Pepi", galt ab…er andererseits als schwierige Charaktere. Man bezeichnete sie auch als weiblichen Nestroy. Nestroy hatte sie auch entdeckt und erstmals 1856 nach Wien geholt, die Zusammenarbeit gestaltete sich aber eher schwierig und endete bald. Erst 1862 kam sie wieder nach Wien, wo sie am Theater an der Wien ihren Durchbruch schaffte. Ihre Karriere war begleitet von zahllosen Affairen und einer immensen Verschwendungssucht und so starb sie verarmt bereits mit 46 Jahren. Sprache: de.
