Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. O Sanctissima (Evening Hymn to the Virgin). Op. 302, No. 2. Fantasie-Transcription for Piano by Fritz Spindler (1817-1906). Revised edition with biographical sketch, fingering, phrasing, pedaling, and instructional annotations by W. S. B. Mathews. Published by the Art Publication Society, Saint Louis, Missouri, as Progressive Series Compositions Catalog No. 607. Copyright 1912; copyright renewed 1940. Softcover educational piano edition presenting Spindler's Romantic-era fantasia arrangement of the traditional Sicilian Marian hymn O Sanctissima, one of the most widely known Catholic devotional melodies of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Condition: Good to Very Good. Original cream-colored wraps remain intact with moderate age toning, scattered staining, edge wear, corner creasing, and several short tears. A faint institutional stamp ('Teacher's Library - Not to be Removed') appears on the front cover. Interior pages are generally clean and complete with light toning, occasional edge wear, and a few marginal creases. The center fold shows some separation and stress but remains attached. Music notation is fully legible throughout. A sound reading and playing copy of an increasingly uncommon pedagogical piano edition. Revised instructional edition, likely mid-20th-century printing from 1912 plates. The interior retains the original 1912 copyright notice with renewal in 1940, while the cover advertises the revised W. S. B. Mathews educational annotations characteristic of Art Publication Society's long-running Progressive Series. No later printing date is present. Catalog No. 607 appears on both cover and title page. This edition is noteworthy for combining a performance score with substantial educational commentary intended for piano students. Art Publication Society publications were widely used in American music instruction during the first half of the twentieth century, and their Progressive Series remains collectible among piano teachers, music historians, and collectors of vintage sheet music. Fritz Spindler (1817-1906) was a German pianist, teacher, and prolific composer of salon and pedagogical piano music. Educated in the German Romantic tradition, he produced hundreds of works designed for amateur and intermediate pianists, making him one of the most widely published piano composers of the nineteenth century. While not generally considered a major concert composer today, his teaching pieces remained staples of piano instruction for decades and continue to appear in historical music collections.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware -Franz Wohlfahrt's 60 Etudes for Violin has been a popular teaching work for violin students since its creation. However, such a work does not exist for every string instrument, which is why editor Fritz Spindler has transcribed Wohlfahrt's etudes for viola. In addition, he gives useful tips on learning and playing the instrument, which, in addition to the teacher, offers the hard-working student support if they are unsure. The studies are aimed at students who have been playing the instrument for some time, as they require certain basic knowledge. 56 pp. Englisch, Deutsch.
