His book, "Field Geology," went through six editions between 1916 and 1961."This book treats the subject of geology from the field standpoint. It is intended both for a textbook and for a pocket manual. As a manual the author hopes that it will be of service not only to students of geology, but also to mining engineers, civil engineers, and others whose interests bring them in touch with geologic problems.
