Luc Deliens is een Belgische hoogleraar en expert in palliatieve zorg, medische sociologie en end-of-life research. Hij is verbonden aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel en speelt internationaal een sleutelrol in onderzoek naar stervenszorg en gezondheidsbeleid. Freddy Mortier is filosoof en hoogleraar ethiek, gespecialiseerd in medische ethiek, bio-ethiek en euthanasieproblematiek.
