Much time is spent on experiments with air and they try to replicate the Magdeburg hemispheres, how the barometers work, steam engines, air guns and weather phemomena are used as teaching aides. A few scuffs, marks and scratches to board surfaces. Rubbing to raised bands though gilt title and tooling is still fairly bright. Full gilt edging. Neat top line of pale label residue to front paste-down. Foxed prelims. Page edges and protective tissues all a little foxed and yellowed but mostly at edges.
