There is a bumpmark on top of front boards and a few light stains on the top edge. Contents are fine. The book was probably printed in Lima since the author held a position at the Eng…lish embassy there, and dedicates the work to the Vice-President of Peru. According to the preface, the book was published in order to raise funds to the British troops during the war. There are introductory chapters in English, with the recipes in English and Spanish parallel text. From the library of Swedish diplomat Lennart Petri, who was stationed in Lima from 1943.
