Classic on the subject by the recipient of the 1970 Theodore von Karman Medal in Engineering Mechanics. Presents the theory of viscoelasticity as an instrument of logical…analysis. This edition includes a new chapter on beams, and an expansion on the chapter on wave propagation. 194 pages, includes numerous line drawings, 6-1/4" X 9-1/4". Brick red cloth covered boards with the title and author name in white on the front board. A portion of the lettering of 'Second Edition' on the front cover board is rubbed away. Former owner's name on the front pastedown, hand written date on the top edge of the front endpaper. No further writing besides that, no writing on the text pages. Not a library discard copy. No dust jacket. The edges of the text block are clean, and the binding is tight and square. Attached are some photos of the copy we have in our inventory.
