The Japanese American artist Miné Okubo, who had published an illustrated account of life in the internment camps, Citizen 13660, a few years before, reinterprets Hokusai's iconic image The Great Wave off Kanagawa for the cover and provided small line drawing vignettes for the opening of each chapter. 64 pages. Extensively illustrated with half-tone photographs of Japan. First edition (first printing). Near fine in wrappers.
