Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Clipped jacket has light edge-wear with tears and creasing.

There is no dust jacket but it does have it's nice salmon colored cardboard slipcase that has a complete pasted-on illustrated paper label and shows light, even handling soil. It has a small repaired split at one end of the opening, but no rubbing wear and displays very well on the shelf. This noted sidesaddle horsewoman author of the early 20th century shares her sometimes death-defying escapades afoot and aside in the hunting field and other equine pursuits. Signed.
