Dark red cloth, elaborately illustrated/decorated in green, orange and gilt, top text block edge in gilt. Quite decently preserved copy, showing modest exterior shelf wear, mild spotting to spine panel, which is ever so slightly sunned. Text block edges a bit dulled by age, interior clean and bright beyond endpapers, which are a bit toned., typical of issue. Front hinge slightly starting but quite firm and intact. xii,235 pp., illus. w/ 80 color plates with guards, engraved by Hentschel Colourtype Process. 1st edition: June 1904.
