Decorative Cloth. Condition: VG+. Dust Jacket Condition: Not Issued. Augustine Fitzgerald (illustrator). First Edition. Dark red cloth, elaborately illustrated/decorated in green, orange and gilt, top text block edge in gilt. Quite decently preserved copy, showing modest exterior shelf wear, mild spotting to spine panel, which is ever so slightly sunned. Text block edges a bit dulled by age, interior clean and bright beyond endpapers, which are a bit toned., typical of issue. Front hinge slightly starting but quite firm and intact. xii,235 pp., illus. w/ 80 color plates with guards, engraved by Hentschel Colourtype Process. 1st edition: June 1904. Solid VG+, perhaps Near Fine in some estimates. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.

reprint. Nb dated 1904 but adverts at rear suggest 1911 reprint. Red cloth boards with green and orange deign of stylistic flowers in a vase. Gilt lettering to spine and front cover, no dustwrapper. TEG. 9ins x 6.75ins, xii, 235pp4pp book adverts plus 80 tissue guarded colour plates. Endpapers browned. Half title page and last page of adverts browned. Slight fading to the spine. Overall VG.

Light blue cloth, elaborately decorated in darker blue, orange and gilt, top text block edge in gilt, deckled edges. x,204 pp., 63 color plates and "many drawings in the text." Well preserved copy showing only minor shelf wear to exterior. Endpapers mildly foxed/toned, interior showing scattered foxing, generally light, in a few places ranging toward moderate (including title page and frontis. guard) proximate to color plates, otherwise clean interior, firm binding. Former owner's illustrated book plate mounted on front pastedown. Solid VG to VG+, Near Fine were it not for the foxing, which is a bit distracting but entirely cosmetic, otherwise exceptional. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
