Stapled Wraps. Condition: As New. 1st Edition. Offered is "Bookishly Yours" by J. B. (James Black) Findlay published posthumously in 1987 by Magicana for Collectors out of York, Pennsylvania. A stapled booklet with brown covers and gold embossed lettering to the front cover, measuring 5-1/2" by 8-1/2" and containing 28 glossy inside pages. Issued in a limited edition of 300 copies, this is copy #265 as hand-numbered in blue pen. Containing 13 splendid photographs of Mr. Findlay's magnificent library of magicana, each with his brief description (he appears in three photos). With a Foreword by George Daily and an Introduction ("The Findlay Collection: A Personal Memento") by F. William Kuethe, Jr., the latter which reads in short part, "This booklet is a reproduction of a souvenir that Jimmy created for one of his dear friends, Sam Dreilinger" and "The decision [by his family] to sell his collection could not have been one that was made lightly, yet the end result was commensurate with Jimmy's collecting philosophy. Rather than sell the collection to an individual, who could then put his imprint on Jimmy's labors, or donate it to an institution, where it would repose in an archival setting, occasionally referred to for research purposes but more often mouldering in an uncaring obscurity, the Findlay family decision freed the books to bring joy to their new owners, just as Jimmy had reveled in the acquisition when he got them" (the collection required four separate auctions to dispose of its contents).
