Legatura in piena pergamena coeva, titolo oro su tassello in pelle al dorso, dec. ornam. impressi in oro. Nota manoscritta "Alberto Bacchi della Lega, edizione Crusca, 1876" alla sguardia ant. Bellissimo esemplare, fresco e ad ampi margini. Rara edizione originale, stampata quasi due secoli dopo la morte dell'autore. Interessante riscostruzione storiografica dei fatti politici, civili e militari della cittą di Firenze, dal Medio Evo al Rinascimento. Iniziata a scrivere nel 1534, l'opera fu terminata nel 1549, su diretta sollecitazione di Cosimo I de' Medici. F. de' Nerli (Firenze 1485-1556), senatore e storico fiorentino, si formņ nell'ambiente degli Orti Oricellari, dove conobbe il Machiavelli. Perseguitato ed imprigionato per le sue posizioni filomedicee durante la restaurazione repubblicana a Firenze, al ritorno al potere dei Medici, riguadagnņ la libertą e riprese l'attivitą politica.
