Spine of volume 1 has partially removed labels, and a large tear and loss of vellum from the spine head edge, resulting in exposed endband. Non è certa l'attribuzione di quest'opera all'Argelati poichè alcune bibliografie ritengono che ne sia stato solo l'editore (e come sembra anche dalla lettura della prefazione). Testo su due colonne. Rara opera in cui, in ordine alfabetico, sono contenute tutte le desinenze sdrucciole ("le parole sdrucciole debbano, per far rima, accordarsi nelle tre ultime Vocali, e in ciascheduna Consonante, che v'ha tra queste.") e per ciascuna di esse i vocaboli composti che possano servire da rima. Legatura coeva in pergamena rigida con piccoli difetti sui bordi e titoli manoscritti posteriormente, in folio piccolo cm 29 x 23, pp (4) 147 (1) (4) 137 (1) 46 + XVI tavole. Mancante l'occhietto. Discreto stato. Il solo terzo volume dell'importante antologia di dissertazioni e trattati di numismatica ed economia curata da Filippo Argelati per la Società Palatina. Concepita quale integrazione agli Scriptores di Muratori, l'opera si componeva di quattro tomi, cui seguirono dopo la morte dell'Argelati due volumi di appendice curati da Montanari e Casanova. Questa terza parte contiene il Trattato del valore delle monete in tutti gli stati di Geminiano Montanari (Modena 1633 - Padova 1687), la dissertazione sui sigilli del Medio Evo di Ludovico Antonio Muratori (in latino), scritti in latino e italiano sulle monete venete (Girolamo Zanetti), ravennati (Pinto), milanesi, e «variarum urbium» (Argelati), sul commercio (Belloni), documenti antichi, e accurati indici. Uno dei classici della numismatica italiana, che pose «le basi per in modo molto esauriente per una completa indagine» sulle molte zecche italiane. (Bassoli, p. 63).
