Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents an enthralling exploration of the fascinating phenomenon of possession, delving into its various forms, from historical accounts of demonic possession to contemporary cases of possession by non-demonic entities. The author provides a comprehensive overview of the subject, drawing upon both ancient and modern sources to craft a multifaceted analysis. The book examines the concept of possession within a broad historical and cultural context, shedding light on the diverse beliefs and practices surrounding this phenomenon across different societies and time periods. It discusses the role of suggestion and autosuggestion in possession, exploring how these psychological mechanisms can lead to the emergence of seemingly distinct personalities within an individual. The author delves into the complexities of possession, exploring the interplay between the possessed individual's beliefs, cultural background, and personal experiences. They analyze the often-uncanny abilities exhibited by possessed individuals, such as speaking in unknown languages or possessing superhuman strength, and examine the ways in which these phenomena can be explained through psychological and physiological factors. This book offers a captivating journey into the enigmatic realm of possession, providing a comprehensive understanding of its historical, cultural, and psychological dimensions. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the intersection of psychology, religion, and cultural anthropology, and provides a unique perspective on the complexities of human consciousness and the power of suggestion. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
