Während der Arbeit an diesem Thema ist mir ein Name besonders aufgefallen: Graf Julius Andrássy. Wenn ich das Leben Andrássys an mir vorbeiziehen lasse, sehe ich ihn als 'den Schlüssel der Beziehungen Österreich-Ungarns zu den angrenzenden türkischen Provinzen seit 1875'. Ich habe daher beschlossen, meine Diplomarbeit über Andrássy zu schreiben. Seine Geschichte war die Geschichte Europas (Wertheimer). Er versuchte immer den Vorteil Ungarns in jeder Weise zu wahren und gilt deswegen bis heute als einer der größten Staatsmänner dieses Landes.
