Cloth. Condition: Near Fine. None (illustrator). First edition. A charming and vanishingly scarce collection of poetry by Emil Weitzner, signed by the author. In the original cloth binding. This copy is inscribed to "Miss Alicia Markova" by the author to the front free end paper, dated 1959. The poem to page 16 is named after Markova, so it is clear that this is an association copy. The subject of this poem explores flight and grace. It is possible that it refers to Dame Alicia Markova (1910-2004), widely considered to be one of the greatest classical ballet dancers of the 20th century, and one of only two English dancers to be recognised as a prima ballerina assoluta. A charming collection of 38 simple, lyrical poems, mostly pastoral in subject, by Emil Weitzner. In original cloth binding. Externally very smart, with minimal wear to the extremities and to the head of the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, except for some offsetting to pages 16 and 17. Near Fine. signed by author. book.
