Fascinating engravings, advertisements and recipes in this extended advertisement for Elliman's Embrocation. Numerous ailments of horses, dogs, birds and cattle are described in detail, with sound-looking advice as to the origins and potential cure for each. The latter part of most, but by no means all, entries contains a plug for Elliman's Embrocation. Probably a genuinely useful book in its day, since vets couldn't do anything much that a farmer couldn't before the advent of penicillin. .
