This exhibition places at its core works from the two best-known painters from Dresden: Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840), a key voice of German Romanticism; and Gerhard Richter (b. 1932), the most celebrated German artist working today.The catalogue, one of the few resources in English on the subject, will feature paintings by Carl Gustav Carus, J.
