A neat antique booklet about the life of Benjamin Franklin, it was as per the line on the back cover and very slight bow, folded in half many, many years ago, maybe when new. It was stored for many years between books so the curvature is nearly gone. There is no internal writing nor highlighting. A beautifully illustrated booklet. Historical document about even further back history than its own time.

Bound in black cloth with titles in white on spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with mild toning to page edges. Some wear to spine ends and tips. Solid unclipped dust-jacket, ($3.00), has chips to the spine ends, Some toning to spine panel and soiling to rear panel. Still fresh and bright and quite presentable. Though not marked in any way, this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son, David Hoffman, the noted documentary filmmaker, has signed a statement with information about his father, the artist, and attesting that the book was from his library. A copy of this is included. A pretty collectable copy of an uncommon title.
