Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the historical tension between religion and culture, with a particular focus on the irreconcilable differences between Christianity and modern thought. The author argues that Christianity's core beliefs, rooted in a transcendent worldview and a belief in a personal God, are fundamentally incompatible with the immanent, secular, and rational outlook of modern culture. This incompatibility extends to morality, with the heteronomous morality of Christianity being increasingly rejected in favor of the autonomy of secular morality. The book concludes by emphasizing the significance of this conflict, suggesting that it has profound implications for the future of both religion and culture in the modern world. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

Add to basketCouverture rigide. Condition: Bon. L.A.S., Berlin, 17 novembre 1872, 2p in-8.
