Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Offering this uncommon signed collection of personal poetry, "Collected Poems," by Edith Scott Magna. Northampton: The Hampshire Bookshop, 1934, 1st edition. Hand signed in ink on the ffep, probably during her tenure as DAR President: "Very sincerely yours Edith Scott Magna President General NSDAR." Blue cloth with silver stamping on front, pp. 62. Includes dedications and similar notes after many of the poems. Beyond her literary pursuits, Magna (1885-1960) was a highly prominent American civic leader, serving as the President General of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) from 1932 to 1935. She was highly instrumental in the fundraising and construction of DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. This book was privately printed in a limited run for the author by the historic Hampshire Bookshop. Overall condition is Very Good. Binding is secure and square, with mild rubbing and wear to cover boards, the front corner a little exposed. Interior is gently age tone - the endpapers more so; the pages remain bright, clean and unmarked. A nice signed copy of this scarce book! [D2]. Signed by Author(s).…
