Articles on exteriors, interiors, furniture and textiles by Aymer Vallance. That on English engraving by Malcolm Salaman. Illustrations mostly by H.P.Clifford and William Twopenny. Despite the title this is very much an architectural book looking at the design and construction of buildings and items of furniture over the periods concerned. A little foxing to advertisements at front and to last few pages. Creased to spine. Some loss of paper covering to base of spine. G+.
