Original red cloth with gilt titles to spine, gilt vignette to upper cover and fillet in blind to boards. Top edge gilt,… other edges uncut. Spine lightly sunned, and bumped with wear at head. Upper board damp-stained in patches, lower board partially sunned; corners bruised with wear. Free endpapers toned as usual otherwise contents clean and crisp; no annotation or inscriptions. Parish history of Church Preen in Salop, now known as Shropshire. Prepared for publication by the author's friend Ernest Ebblewhite. Posthumously published in the year that Arthur Sparrow died. Scarce.
