Unter ein…heitlichen Bedingungen von Temperatur (27±1 0 C) und relativer Feuchtigkeit (75±2%) für S. oryzae und (35±1%) und relativer Feuchtigkeit (70±2%) für T. granarium. Die Sorten umfassten 10 Mischlinge, 8 Hybriden und 12 Inzuchtlinien für S. oryzae und 17 Mischlinge und 13 Hybriden für T. granarium. Die Bewertung erfolgte nach der Standardmethode ohne Auswahl der Nachkommenschaft. Zwanzig gesunde Körner jeder Sorte, die dreimal vervielfältigt wurden, wurden mit 3 Paaren von frisch geschlüpften adulten Tieren (0-12 Stunden alt) befallen.
