Das Ziel des Buches ist es, die Hangstabilität von Erddämmen mit Hilfe der Software GeoStudio anhand verschiedener Fälle zu untersuchen. Kapitel 1 gibt eine kurze Einführung in die Hangstabilität von Erddämmen und erläutert die GeoStudio-Software. In Kapitel 2 werden verschiedene Forschungsarbeiten zur Analyse der Hangstabilität von Erddämmen erläutert. Um das Versagen der Hänge zu kontrollieren, muss der Sicherheitsfaktor analysiert werden. Kapitel 3 SLOPE/W verwendet den SOLVE-Prozess zur Berechnung des Sicherheitsfaktors. Jede Gleitfläche wird in 3 Schritten bearbeitet. In Kapitel 4 werden die Sickerwasserbedingungen im stationären Zustand und die plötzliche Absenkung für die stromaufwärts und stromabwärts gelegene Seite mit GeoStudio diskutiert.
