Subjects include Duchenne and other muscular dystrophies, Huntington disease, Tay-Sachs disease, Alzheimer disease, mitochondrial and metabolic disorders, phenylketonuria, hereditary neuropathies, and other genetically mediated diseases of the brain, peripheral nerves, and muscle. The book appeared during a particularly important period in human genetics, immediately before the Human Genome Project transformed the field. xvii, 481 pages, with illustrations, bibliographies, glossary, and index. Condition: Very Good hardcover in Good+ dust jacket. Book appears clean and firmly bound with only light shelf and handling wear. Interior pages shown are clean and bright. Dust jacket shows noticeable edge wear, including creasing, small tears and chipping at the upper spine and upper edges, rubbing and surface wear, and fading to the spine panel.
