Number 67 of 1000 copies printed on vellum. 3rd Year, New Series. In a contemporary half calf binding with marbled paper covered boards. Bound with the original wraps. A scarce women's almanac for the year 1901, which celebrates a century of Parisian women and fashion. Beautifully illustrated with the coloured original wraps, single-tone vignettes, decorative borders and twenty-five hand-coloured engravings, twenty-four of which are plates. From French engraver and illustrator Henri Boutet, nicknamed the "little master of corset" or the "painter of the midinette". He specialised in etchings and drypoints depicting women in negligee, in the style of "Parisian", illustrated many alamanacs, calendars and menus. His etchings are ntoed for showing the development of fashion for each year with close attention to detail. Collated, complete. Text written by Hippolyte Devillers. In a contemporary half calf binding with marbled paper covered boards.Externally, with rubbing to the extremities and small loss to the head of the spine.
