Well illuistrated throughout with 9 Two Tone Full-Page Plates printed of onr side of thick paper ( mainly of fine houses, Chatham & Haddon etc.) Also numerous B&W Full-Page Plates and in-text illustrations. Green cloth cover with blind stamped decoration on front & back. Spine has blind stamped horizontal divisions. Gilt title on front & spine. 432 Pages + Index & Adverts. 7 1/2" Tall, 500g. Some edge wear and fraying at spine ends. where small bits of cloth are missing at the corners. Small closed tear, 1" long, on left side of spine and a very small hole on right side. Corners worn. Front hinge slightly cracked. Previous owner's inscription on ffep, dated 1847. Booksellers penciled ref & price in corner. No other inscriptions. An occasional spot of foxing in text pages, a few have even browning. Most 2 tone plates have spots of light foxing, mainly marginal. Fold-Out frontis map in good condition, just a very small closed tear where the map is joined to the book. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" Tall.
