The maximum percentage of Cadmium (II) ions (99.5%) removal was obtained at 100 mg of the treated biosorbent, contact time of 30 min and pH of 4.5. The experimental data fitted best with the Langmuir model where R2 = 0.994. The results of the kinetics study indicate that the pseudo-second order model is the one which has the best coefficient of determination (R2 = 0.999) and intra particular diffusion studies showed three linear portions (R12 = 1 and R22 = 0.989 and R32 = 0.707). From these results, we can recommend that eggshells can be used as an effective low-cost biosorbent to remove cadmium (II) ions from the wastewater. 68 pp. Englisch.

Es wurden Batch-Experimente durchgeführt, um den Biosorptionsmechanismus besser zu verstehen und auch die Auswirkungen einiger wichtiger Parameter wie Biosorptionsmitteldosierung, Kontaktzeit, Anfangskonzentration des Schadstoffs und pH-Wert der Lösung zu untersuchen, die die Biosorption beeinflussen. Der maximale Prozentsatz der Entfernung von Cadmium(II)-Ionen (99,5%) wurde bei 100 mg des behandelten Biosorptionsmittels, einer Kontaktzeit von 30 Minuten und einem pH-Wert von 4,5 erreicht. Die experimentellen Daten passten am besten zum Langmuir-Modell mit R2 = 0,994. Die Ergebnisse der Kinetik-Studie zeigen, dass das Modell pseudo-zweiter Ordnung dasjenige mit dem besten Bestimmtheitsmaß (R2 = 0,999) ist, und die Diffusionsstudien zeigten drei lineare Anteile (R12 = 1 und R22 = 0,989 und R32 = 0,707). La spettroscopia IR e il punto di carica zero sono stati utilizzati per caratterizzare il biosorbente al fine… di identificare rispettivamente i gruppi funzionali e la carica del materiale. Gli esperimenti in batch sono stati utilizzati per comprendere meglio il meccanismo di biosorbimento e per esaminare gli effetti di alcuni parametri importanti come il dosaggio del biosorbente, il tempo di contatto, la concentrazione iniziale dell'inquinante e il pH della soluzione che influenzano il biosorbimento. La percentuale massima di rimozione degli ioni cadmio (II) (99,5%) è stata ottenuta con 100 mg di biosorbente trattato, un tempo di contatto di 30 minuti e un pH di 4,5. I dati sperimentali si sono adattati meglio alla teoria di Langa. I dati sperimentali si sono adattati meglio al modello di Langmuir, dove R2 = 0,994. I risultati dello studio cinetico indicano che il modello del pseudo-secondo ordine è quello che ha il miglior coefficiente di determinazione (R2 = 0,999) e gli studi di diffusione intra particolare hanno mostrato tre porzioni lineari (R12 = 1 e R22 = 0,989 e R32 = 0,707).
