The brigade was part of General James Longstreet's corps during the Atlanta Campaign. In September 1864, the brigade was involved in the Battle of Jonesboro. In February 1865, the brigade was involved in the Battle of Bentonville. John S. Jackman was wounded at the Battle of Franklin and died on October 1, 1865, at the age of 19.; 8vo; 174 pages; TBC.

It looks as if it's never been read. The book is 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" by 2 1/4" and has732 pages with an Index of 19 pages in the front of the book and the fore-mentioned illustrations/photographs.
